Winona State University presents 9/11 Film Series
The films included in the series were selected and assembled based on three questions: What happened on 9/11? What did we do in response? And what did that response do to us?

Winona State University will hold a film series in recognition of the tenth anniversary of 9/11. The series will run Sept. 11-16.

Artists sought in design for “The Haunting of Potter’s Field”
Please submit art to the Winona County History Center, 160 Johnson, St., Winona by September 1

Potter’s Field is a part of the cemetery that was set aside as a place to bury the poor and unknown who had no money or family to pay for a regular burial site. “The Haunting of Potters’ Field” is a musical theater work to be produced by Theatre du Mississippi, in collaboration with The Winona County Historical Society at the Historic Masonic Theater.

Winona is celebrating its recognition as a Minnesota Legacy Destination on July 15-17, with an assortment of activities

Winona is celebrating its recognition as a Minnesota Legacy Destination on July 15-17, with an assortment of activities demonstrating the impact of the Clean Water, Land & Legacy Amendment approved by Minnesota voters in 2008.

Legacy  weekend is a statewide collaborative project between Minnesota Citizens for the Arts, Conservation Minnesota, Explore Minnesota Tourism and various community partners.

MCA announces summer dance, theatre, music programming
Community workshops are offered for children age 3 through adult

The Minnesota Conservatory for the Arts offers summer programming runs through July 22. Community classes, lessons, workshops and camps are offered for children age 3 through adults.
 
Theatre division offerings include:

Theatre Day Camp I – Destination Imagination
June 20-24; 9 to 11:30 a.m.; for young people entering grades 2 through 5; tuition: $100.
Students are led through a series of theatre games and exercises designed to encourage and develop their imaginations. Students perform in a final showcase.
