Potter’s Field is a part of the cemetery that was set aside as a place to bury the poor and unknown who had no money or family to pay for a regular burial site. “The Haunting of Potters’ Field” is a musical theater work to be produced by Theatre du Mississippi, in collaboration with The Winona County Historical Society at the Historic Masonic Theater.

Winona is celebrating its recognition as a Minnesota Legacy Destination on July 15-17, with an assortment of activities demonstrating the impact of the Clean Water, Land & Legacy Amendment approved by Minnesota voters in 2008.

Legacy  weekend is a statewide collaborative project between Minnesota Citizens for the Arts, Conservation Minnesota, Explore Minnesota Tourism and various community partners.

Community workshops are offered for children age 3 through adult

The Minnesota Conservatory for the Arts offers summer programming runs through July 22. Community classes, lessons, workshops and camps are offered for children age 3 through adults.
 
Theatre division offerings include:

Theatre Day Camp I – Destination Imagination
June 20-24; 9 to 11:30 a.m.; for young people entering grades 2 through 5; tuition: $100.
Students are led through a series of theatre games and exercises designed to encourage and develop their imaginations. Students perform in a final showcase.
