Less than 5 percent of business schools worldwide have earned this distinguished hallmark of excellence in management education

The Winona State University College of Business has earned accreditation, effective immediately, from The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International.

The WSU College of Business joins an elite group of institutions that have achieved business accreditation from AACSB International. Less than 5 percent of business schools worldwide (607 institutions) have earned this distinguished hallmark of excellence in management education.

This year’s theme, “Promoting a Bicycle Friendly Community,” builds on Winona’s ideal bicycle-friendly geography—small, flat, and beautiful

Winona State University hosts its fourth annual Bike Week April 11-15.  Student volunteers will help WSU students and others in the Winona community fix up their bikes.  How-to events such as bike maintenance workshops and introductions to road and mountain biking will promote increased bicycle use in Winona.

The Voices in Harmony program is designed to foster social and cultural interaction between newcomers and established residents and provide the tools needed to become true participants in the community

Project FINE (Focus on Integrating Newcomers through Education), a non-profit organization with offices in Winona and St Charles, is the beneficiary of a $20,000.00 grant awarded by the Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation for Entrepreneurship Training through the Voices in Harmony Program.

A prayer service was held Saturday night at Saint Mary’s with several hundred students attending

Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota is mourning the loss of freshman Millie Harrison, who died unexpectedly Saturday, April 2, on campus, due to apparent natural causes.
 
Harrison, 19, of Colorado Springs, Colo., was known as an outgoing and charismatic student on the Saint Mary’s campus. A theatre major studying stage management and communications, she was active with theatre productions and was a member of the student Second Page Comedy Troupe. She also served as an Admission Ambassador.
