Local artist Monica Veraguth is displaying works of art at the Winona Public Library throughout May and June in the Bell Art Room located on the second floor. A variety of subjects are presented, including many local landscapes, regionally inspired landscapes along with a small selection of expressionistic pieces. The event is free and open to the public. Veraguth is a self-taught impressionist artist primarily focusing on Winona area landscapes. Emphasizing exaggerated colors, while creating striking contrast that evokes a mystery and moodiness that arouses emotion. Start: 2012-06-15 11:00 am

The Teddy Bear Band will perform at the Summer Concert in the Park, sponsored by Winona National Bank, at the Lake Park Bandshell following the Steamboat Days Kiddie Parade. Starting at 11:00 a.m., Winona National will serve its famous $1 lunch, which includes a hot dog, bag of chips, and a drink. Lake View root beer floats will also be available at the concert for $1 each. All proceeds from food sales will benefit the Friends of the Winona Public Library. | ||
