The Winona State University Paul Watkins Gallery will host Nathaniel Stern’s “Mind the Gap” Jan. 12 through Feb. 2.
Stern will host an artist talk at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14, in Room 237, Pasteur Hall, followed by a reception in the Watkins Gallery.
A native of South Africa, Stern works with experimental installation and serves as a video artist, internet artist, printmaker and writer.
He has received numerous awards, fellowships, commissions and residencies in South Africa, America and Europe.
Stern is assistant professor in the Department of Art and Design at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He earned a design degree from Cornell University, a studio-based master’s in art from New York University, and holds a research doctorate from Trinity College Dublin.
