Spring has sprung in Winona, despite the late snowfall--birds are singing and signs of new life are emerging
Every other week, I will be capturing a little piece of the Winona area to share, from old vintage garage doors to beautiful landscapes. Several photos will be featured depicting fun, unique and interesting pieces of the region we call home.
Sunday was the first day of spring, so I wanted to capture the season around Winona. Birds are migrating back up north and the ice is finally melting. Soon boats will be out on the water and summer...

The Driftskippers, a snowmobiling club in Wabasha, Minn., has morphed from neighbors enjoying each others' company on the weekends to entire families racing together
The gas stations in Wabasha and Kellogg become the place to be for snowmobilers during the winter months, given their proximity to network of area snowmobile trails. Tracks line the parking lot from where riders entered, fueled up, and then headed out of town and to the trails.
