  Saturday, August 6th  (8:00-9:00am) Morning Prairie Walk   Join our refuge ranger and volunteer for an early morning prairie hike along our Prairie View Trail.  What’s better than enjoying the fresh morning air with a beautiful backdrop of our rolling prairie.  The vibrant purple, glowing yellow, and saturated green will weave its way across the prairie and paint a masterpiece of wildflowers.

  Thursday, August 18th (7:00-8:00pm) Sunset Canoe Tour   Summer is drawing near an end, and what better way to spend it than in a canoe watching the sunset wash across the bluffs.  A refuge ranger will guide you across the water with hopes of spotting wildlife along the way and discussing topics of refuge history, habitats in the refuge, and much more.

The River City Ballroom Dancers will be hosting a ballroom dance on Saturday, July 16, 2011.  The dance will be held at the Winona Athletic Club on 5th and Mankato Streets.  The evening begins at 7:00 p.m. with an optional Tango and Samba dance lessons followed by dancing at 8:00 p.m.  General admission is $8.00.  Student admission is $5.00.  Singles and couples of all ages are welcome to attend.  No dance...
