I will be posting "Tried and True" every Saturday.  "Tried and True" recipes will be basic or what I consider classic.   I hope you will come back to them again and again.  They will be building blocks for many meals.  When you are exhausted or busy, these dishes will help get you through.  I hope that after a while you won't even have to look at a recipe to make them.  You will just have this info in your head.  Your own personal cooking...

Gluten Free Grocery Tour     Tuesday, June 8, 2010    2:00pm - 9:30pm Bluff Country Co-Op     121 W Second Street, Winona Let us show you the wide variety of foods available at the Co-op for people who are gluten-intolerant. During our tour we'll sample several of the food options, and participants will be encouraged to share your thoughts about eating well within the gluten-free guidelines.

Experienced home brewer Dave Sanders will be demonstrating the process with a True Brew Pale Ale kit. Dave will also be sharing his extensive knowledge of brewing beer from whole grains.

Meghan McCain has written this piece for The Daily Beast on Rand Paul's political faux paus over his comments about the Civil Rights Act (see Paul's full interview with Rachel Maddow here). McCain writes that although the Tea Party and the mainstream Republican party do share some ideals, they have very different ideas about governing.
