At the mere mention of the New Zealand national hockey team, Sheree Haslemore lights up.
There is nothing better to her than putting on the team’s black and white jersey. She is filled with pride when she stands at the blue line singing her national anthem. Sheree is one of New Zealand’s best hockey players, and for the past four years she has played hockey for Saint Mary’s University in Winona, Minn.

WSU women's volleyball dominates MSU Moorhead
The Winona State Warriors rocked MSU Moorhead Friday night at McCown Gymnasium (25-21, 25-16, 27-25). With the win, the Warriors improved their record to 14-15 overall and 8-11 in the NSIC.
Sophomore, Bekah Saugen, and junior, Kathy Lohff, led the Warriors in kills. Saugen ended the night with a double-double, having 13 kills and 15 digs. Lohff wound up with 11 kills and had the team’s best hitting percentage with a .409.

The Winhawks had four different pitchers rotate in throughout the game May 26, including some that threw their first innings of the year
Rochester John Marshall’s consistent offense and strong pitching contributed to a 10-0 rout of the Winona Senior High School Winhawks in the final regular season game of the year Thursday, May 26.
John Marshall was led defensively by pitcher Alex Nelson. In addition to hitting a home run in the fourth inning, Nelson pitched a complete game, three-hit shutout against the Winhawks (7-13 overall). Nelson also recorded seven strikeouts.
