Concordia University held onto it’s lead after many foul calls throughout the game for both teams, finishing with 76 points to Winona State University's 64
The tie breaking game for 3rd place in state conference ended in a bust for Winona State University women’s basketball Saturday night. Concordia University tied Winona State for third place in state conference. The Warriors were 15 and 5 going into the game, in which they faced a team Winona State’s Head Coach Scott Ballard described as one of the hottest teams in the league.

The Winona Nordic Ski Club, along with St. Mary’s University, hosted the seventh annual 10K ski race at SMU Sunday, Jan. 30, inviting children ages 4-12 to participate in a children's race for the first time

The weekend's local Fire on Ice hockey tournament at the Bud King Ice Arena brought together enthusiastic young players as well as supportive parent volunteers
“You work for retirement; you work for your kids,” said Jeff Praxel, father of a Winona player participating in Saturday’s portion of the Fire on Ice hockey tournament at the Bud King Ice Arena in Winona, Minn. Although Praxel spoke about the lack of free time hockey season allows, he joked with fellow parents and raved about the benefits of his son being active in the sport.
