I decided that the only way I could really deal with the anniversary of 9/11 was to show a series of films that addressed, if not all, at least a broad spectrum of the issues involved
The week of September 11 - 16th, 2011 I coordinated a 9/11 Film Series on the Winona State University campus to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 attack. The film documents more than just the preparations for the stage; it exposes cultural differences with philosophical interpretations on how individuals across the globe interact and work creatively
It is with great pleasure that I recently reviewed the film, A Dream In Hanoi. The headline in The Washington Post March 2, 2011 read: “Lt. Gen. John Kelly, who lost his son to war, says U.S. largely unaware of sacrifice.” No truer words have been spoken. Until recently, I could stand on one side of that statement and hang my head in shame because it’s clear he was speaking to me. On February 27, 2011, Corporal Andrew Wilfarht, cousin to my husband, and son to Jeff and Lori Wilfahrt of Rosemount, Minn.,...

There is science to back up the cilantro haters.  You can read about it here.http://www.nytimes.com/2010/04/14/...

The movie set a new standard for possible body counts, the level of property destruction, and how the hero should think and feel about that human and material devastation
