After passing the proposal last fall, nearly every classroom throughout campus had its temperature reduced from around 72 degrees to 71 degrees in February
The unseasonably chilly temperatures may have had many Winona State University students shivering, but the goosebumps could have also been caused by the classrooms themselves. After implementing a proposal to lower campus building temperatures beginning February 2011, WSU expects to see dollar signs in energy savings.

Winona State University will hold a book signing with B. Ron Frost, author of Religion Versus Science: Where Both Sides Go Wrong in the Great Evolution Debate, at 6:15 p.m. Monday, April 4, in the Science Lab Center atrium. The book signing will be followed by a discussion at 7 p.m. in Pasteur Hall, room 329.

Winona State University will hold a "Voyage Around the World" International Dinner at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 2, in East Hall, Kryzsko Commons. The formal event will feature dancing, singing and a large buffet of various foods from around the world.

The Winona State University Geoscience department will present “Quaternary History of Southeastern Minnesota” with Howard Hobbs as a part of the Earth Talk series at 4 p.m. Monday, March 28, in the Science Lab Auditorium.

World Vision and Winona State University's Intervarsity will hold a grand finale event to wrap up the Human Wrong Campaign from 7:30-9 p.m. Thursday, March 31, in Talbot Gymnasium, Memorial Hall. The event will raise awareness of the millions of children around the world who are trafficked and enslaved through forced labor, sexual exploitation, and child-soldiering.
