Two WSU students--Jamie M. Richter and Elissa Larson--won the annual design contest for the Earth Day posters
Winona’s annual Earth Day Celebration will be held at Unity Park on Saturday, April 16, from 12 p.m. - 6 p.m., which includes a wide variety of vendors, a procession, and live, energizing music.
This design competition was a collaboration between the City of Winona and Winona State University. Participants were enrolled in "Advertising Design," a Mass Communication course offered at Winona State University.

The Winona State University French club will host French Day from 5:30-7 p.m. Friday, March 25, at the Alumni House, 227 W. Wabasha St.
The event will give an overview of French culture through French music, making French Crêpes and more.

The Winona State University Women’s Rugby team will hold a wing eating contest at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 26, at ZaZa’s Pub and Pizzeria, 529 Huff St. The contest will help the team raise funds to go to the national tournament for the second consecutive year. Contestant entrance fee is $20. Contestants must register by March 23.
