Monday: waking up and the first thought being Hey, I’m not cold.
Valentine’s Tuesday: reading Beyonce and Usher lyrics like poetry to my kids – I really thought they’d like it, but they only kind of did
Wednesday: snug on the couch sharing popcorn and space – this place has made me more affectionate than I’ve ever been

Republicans in the Wisconsin Assembly passed a bill that takes away collective bargaining rights for public workers, an Associated Press story in the Star Tribune says this morning.

Unionization vote
University of Wisconsin-La Crosse faculty will still vote whether to unionize, although the timing isn't so good, Minnesota Public Radio says in a piece this morning.
"About 350 tenured and tenure-track faculty are voting Wednesday and Thursday on whether to join the American Federation of Teachers. Professors had hoped to bargain for smaller class sizes and higher wages," the story says.

Budget announced today
Cities and counties won't get further state aid cuts in the budget that Gov. Mark Dayton will release today, according to the Star Tribune.
